How to get traffic to your blog is a big issue.
All bloggers want that their articles reach more people and to be known in search engines.
It is essential for the life of a blog because without readers the blogs die.
To achieve this I will give you tips to make your blog a successful blog.

TIP 1 - UNIQUE AND QUALITY CONTENT
Write quality content with interesting information and choose well the keywords.
To build a great blog, the most important thing is to provide the information that your readers want to read And do it well.
Even google webmaster guides talk about it.
If you take time to think about useful content, people will talk about it and they will link your posts in their websites and blogs.
Help readers to solve their problems.
TIP 2 - WRITE, WRITE AND WRITE AGAIN
The more posts you write more often they will find your blog in the search engines.
Search engines prefer sites that are updated frequently.
Don't stay 2 weeks without publishing.
If you have time, update your blog once a day. If not, at least update it once or twice per week.
TIP 3 - DOMAIN NAME EASY TO REMEMBER
Like I said my other post 5 mistakes to avoid in your blog, a domain name like www.mynameisjohnsmith.com is long and hard to remember.
Choose a short name, easy to remember and related to the topic of your blog.
TIP 4 - USE KEYWORDS
If you want that you blog appears in the search engines, you have to know what words people searh.
There are free tools like Google Keywords that will help you with this.
Search with this tool words related to your blog and use the ideas that Google Keywords give you.
Use them in your post bodies, links and post titles!
TIP 5 - WRITE GOOD POST TITLES
It's that simple. Write interesting post titles and you will call the attention.
Look at the titles of other sites and aply it to your blog.
