Play games with your real guitar
I play guitar for several years and when I see games like guitar hero or rock band, this kind of games just make me laugh.
I have played too and it is absurd to me. I see how people spend hours and hours by pressing keys on a piece of plastic and then they think they are the best playing guitar.
If instead of wasting time they had spent learning to play a real guitar, his experience would have been much more rewarding and may start to think about entering a real band and make music! MUSIC! is a big word.
Well, now Ubisoft will release a game to market that allows you to connect a real guitar to your Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. The name of the game is RockSmith.
Ubisoft sells it more like an experience than a game. They say that players will learn to play.
If you don't have a guitar, Ubisoft plans to sell a pack with a real guitar for about $ 200.
It seems far more interesting than other games, this does seem a real experience, but...
Why should I buy a game that cost more than $ 50 or $ 200 (if you don't have a guitar) if I can connect my guitar to my PC and learn all the songs I like, seeing tablature or programs like GuitarPro?
RockSmith will come with a big list of songs of all styles but the Internet is much bigger.
For me, this game does not convince me. I prefer to play the guitar with an amp. That is the real thing.
Here you got a video of RockSmith:
