Problems With 1&1, the Worst Company



As you know, a few days ago I bought a hosting on HostGator (I'm very happy with them) with the money I made doing simple work on MinuteWorkers.

Then I bought a domain name on 1&1 because their prices were very cheap and seemed a respectable company. As the result has been the opposite.

1&1 is the worst company I have ever met.

It took 2 days to register my user and another 3 more days to register the domain name.
When the domain name was active, I changed the DNS and put the HostGator DNS.

Well, it has spent over a month and they still have not changed the DNS. They don't have support chat,   I've written many times to their support and they always say the same: "Our administration department is working on your case".
Doesn't matter if you ask them a thousand questions, always the same email sent to you automatically.

I don't know when I'll be able to use my domain name so I had no choice but to buy another domain name on  another registrar.

I chose NameCheap and it's the best I've done.

In just 5 minutes I bought the domain name and they activated it. When you buy the domain name you can set up DNS so when the domain name is registered, already has the DNS that you want and not have to change it. It's something that with 1&1 you can't do.

The DNS took 10 minutes to propagate so in just 15 minutes I could use the domain.
I contacted their support through chat to see how they are, and immediately they resolved my questions.

In addition, all months they have discount coupons.

If NameCheap can do it in just 15 minutes... what the hell does 1&1?

If you have to buy a domain name I highly recommend to NameCheap and please, avoid 1&1.
